Apache To Spend $0.5 Billion More In Egypt

American independent Apache says that its investments in Egypt during 2012 will reach $477 million, a clear $70 million higher than its spend in the North African country in 2011. Egyptian officials have taken that that statement to mean a vote for the handling of the economy, despite the year long political crisis. Abdullah Ghorab, the country’s Minister of Petroleum, was quoted in the press as saying that Apache’s statement confirms the credibility of the country both politically and economically.
