The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists conferred its high honour-“Fellow of NAPE(fnape)” on eight members of the association at its last annual conference IN MID November 2012.
The new fellows include Tola Adeogba, General Manager for Onshore/Shelf exploration at Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria; Lanre Osho, Reservoir Engineering Manager at IDSL, an oil service subsidiary of the state hydrocarbon company NNPC; Mustafa Jibril, Manager, PSC/JOA Coordination for Esso Exploration and Production, a Nigerian subsidiary of ExxonMobil, the world’s largest privately owned oil company; Gbenga Lufadeju, Head of Lease Management and Basin Assessment at the Department of Petroleum Resources; Iyabo Ogun, Manager Reservoir Management, Organisational Capability at Chevron Nigeria Limited; Bankole Ako, retired professor of geophysics at the Department of Geology and Applied Geophysics at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife; Afe Mayowa, Managing Director of Danvic Concepts, a subsurface consulting firm and the immediate past president of the association and Toyin Akinosho, publisher of Africa Oil+Gas Report.
The election of these eight petroleum geoscientists bring to 105, the number of fellows of the 3,000 member association, which was founded in 1975.
