London Job/Algerian Experience- Senior Operations Geologist

12 month contract
£ commensurate with experience
A leading E&P company with assets in the North Sea, Europe, Russia and North Africa is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Operations Geologist to join their dynamic London team on a min 12 month contract. Perm opportunities available in the future also.
The Role
To maximize the value of the client operated E&A activities in the Rhourde Yacoub project, and contribute to preparing and conducting of the Appraisal Phase.
Responsibilities
Geological well preparation including writing of well proposals
Geological operations
Planning and on-sight QC of logging and coring
Co-ordination of consultant work, i.e. well sight geologists
Provide key interface between G+G and drillers
Write post well reports
Contribute to Rhourde Yacoub development planning
Project management
Represent the E&P client in joint venture committees with Sonatrach
Business trips to Algiers, Hassi Messaoud and well locations

Requirements
10+ year experience in international E&P
Specific technical background in geological drilling operations
Enjoys working in international and rapidly acting teams
Have regional experience in Algeria
Fluency in Arabic or French (advantageous)
