An E&P company is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Exploration Geologist. They key purpose of the role is to maximize the value of the operator’s E&P’s operated E&A activities in the Rhourde Yacoub project(Algeria), planning and execution of exploration and appraisal programme.
The Role
• Further exploration on the Rhourde Yacoub permit
Subsurface evaluation of discoveries obtained in Rhourde Yacoub so far
• Risk analysis, volume assessment
• Analysis and integration of well results
• Applying suitable and applicable subsurface evaluation technologies, such as facies analysis
• Play analysis, further prospect identification and generation
• Geological well preparation
• Project management
• Represent the company’s E&P in Joint Venture Committees
• Co-ordination of consultant work
• Business trips to Algiers and Hassi Messaoud
Requirements
Senior G&G professional with sound technical background in E&A
Specific technical background in sedimentology, facies analysis and sequence stratigraphy
Like working in international and dynamic teams
Regional experience in Algeria (advantageous)
Fluent in English, French or Arabic (advantageous)
