The Client and Project
This global EPCM consultancy focused on major construction projects for the petrochemical, mining and large scale infrastructure sectors. The Role
You will manage a multidiscipline engineering team currently involved in the construction of a large scale pipe line and gas treatment project based in Tanzania. Your overall responsibility will be to ensure engineering integrity and that standards are exceeded.
Responsibilities
Manages the Planning, Organising, Leading and controlling of the Engineering department.
Responsible for the effective performance for the engineering department including: Process Engineering, Mechanical & Piping Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Drawing Office and the Document Control Department.
Ensure that health and safety best practices are reflected and upheld in both the design and its construction.
Highlight areas that may require specialist input, ensuring that potential design snags are avoided and that world class standards are reflected in the design.
Takes overall responsibility for the technical integrity of the engineering and design work.
Suitable Applicants
Your BSc degree and Pr Eng registration combined with 10 years’ experience in the management of multidisciplinary design within a project contracting environment will equip you to lead this diverse team of highly professional individuals.
Remuneration
Is completely flexible depending on your experience with ball park figures ranging around US$ 17000 nett + Package and accommodation.
