Desired Expertise: The ideal candidate for this job role should be able to supervise the maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel. He is also required to exercise effective control and efficient operation of the technical and mechanical aspects of the rig with due regard to personnel safety, the rig, and protection of the environment.
Experience: Must have at least 5+ years in safe rig operation, communicating equipment problems or breakdown with Field Support group and equipment vendors and sound knowledge in liaising with the marine department regarding the loading, ordering and use of fuel, potable.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communication may be substituted in lieu of formal education. Valid 2nd Engineer Unlimited License (Class 2 Motor above 3000kW), Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates and Knowledge of technical calculations required for mechanical operations and basic computer skills.
