Kuwaitis Commission New Gas Plant In Egypt’s Western Desert

No details about the volume of gas processed with the facility
Kuwaiti junior, Kuwait Energy, has announced the commissioning of the Gas Plant at the Abu Sennan concession, located in the Western Desert onshore Egypt.

Kuwait Energy holds a 50% revenue interest and is the operator in the Abu Sennan development lease, while Dover Investments Ltd holds 28% and Beach Energy Ltd holds 22%.

The company does not disclose, in its press release, the volume of gas the plant is capable of processing. It merely says: “Commissioning the plant has allowed an optimum utilization of the hydrocarbons in Abu Sennan Area. The associated gas is now captured and processed for domestic utilization, while simultaneously removing a bottleneck in oil production resulting in an increase in total field throughput”.

The company also congratulates itself for its hard work, “dedication and persistence in completing this project.”
