French independent Maurel et Prom says it has completely shut down its crude oil production in Gabon, averaging 29,000Barrels of Oil Per Day.
The company says that a break in the 12-inch export pipeline transporting crude oil from its fields in the Ezanga permit, “led to a force majeure situation”. The break in the pipeline (the company doesn’t say whether it is sabotage, accident, or rupture due to integrity issues), happened in a forested area.
