NAMIBIA Launches Tender for EPC contract for 40 MW Biomass Power Station

NamPower, the Namibian state electricity utility, is seeking bids for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the 40 MW Otjikoto Biomass Power Station near the town of Tsumeb. NamPower is conducting an open international bidding process for the EPC contract.

The Otjikoto Biomass Power Station will have a generation capacity of 40 MW.

The plant’s configuration can be either as 2 x 20 MWe boilers with a common steam collector leading to a single turbine and generator, or a single 40 MWe boiler, turbine, and generator.

Submission Deadline: 17 November 2023 Namibia.
