Egypt Proposes Doubling Gas Prices for Producers to Incentivise Output

Egyptian state hydrocarbon company EGAS has agreed to increase the price it pays for domestically produced gas from six E&P companies by 30-100%, with deepwater fields set for the highest increases.

EGAS (the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company), will pass the proposal to the National Assembly for passage through the Ministry of Petroleum.
